We really love this daycare facility and consider it's a hidden gem in our neighborhood ----in fact we are so happy to be able to find this gem, but feel we really should do its justice by shedding light on it :-) our son really enjoys this daycare and he didn't want leave sometime when we go to pick him up. The owner Zoreh is caring, patient and has a background in child development. Her staff are fun loving, warm and attention to details. We had so much fun watching video clips they sent to us of kids playing at the daycare. This is really a wonderful place.

Abbey attended International Play Group from 2005-07 and Zo was a formative and wonderful influence and is still one of our favorite people in the world -- wise, loving and a special person. Of more than a dozen corporate and in-home centers I checked out, this was by far the most impressive and we highly and enthusiastically recommend it to others. The parents and kids really do come from all around the world (many NIH, IMF, World Bank, NGO families) and so there is a great diversity and sharing of cultures among the families at any given time. Abbey is 12 now; just last week she and her best friend (they met as toddlers at International Play Group) went back together to visit with Zo and catch up. We cannot overstate what a special program this is.

My first daughter. Is been there for almost a. Year now. We were so lucky to be blessed by such a warm nice and loving place for our daughter. Zo and her assistants are all very professional, very nice. They all do their job properly and they are able to give all kids the love and attention they need. Since my daughter started there she learned a lot and with Zo's philosophy of teaching she is becoming very independent and even at a very small age 2.5 years I feel sometimes that she is really big in her way of expressing herself, explaining things, asking questions....
I can't thank Zo enough for making our kids happy and feeling loved by her second family. I will definitely take my second child when she will turn 18 months and recommend Zo to all parents.

My son loved this daycare. He has now graduated from there but still asks to go back almost 3 months after he started his preschool. Zo and her staff are loving, caring and patient. We appreciate the home style atmosphere and cozy environment. We especially appreciate that Zo adopts Montessori philosophy into her care to children, which prepared him very well in his current Montessori school. We strongly recommend this daycare!

I wish I could give International Playgroup 10 stars. It is hands down the most fabulous little playgroup/ day care/pre-school that I've known. Zo is extraordinarily caring and smart, and her staff are lovely. The Montessori program is fabulous. The attention and love kids get at International Playgroup is like family - it's the equivalent getting 'bespoke',superb quality child care but at affordable prices. The best secret in MD and no wonder it's been around for so long. People who find it, cannot let it go.

My 2-year old son is a current student of International Playgroup. We like the philosophy of Zoreh and his team and the way they transmit it which is helping a lot to our son in his integration process. Zoreh transmit us calm and she is close and natural. After much search, the day we visited this daycare and saw the way Zo welcomed our son, we knew that was the place we wanted him to be. The transition process was incredibly simple as he felt at home since the begining. He goes very happy every day and most of the days he does not want to leave.

We like the daily schedule they have and the time they dedicate to the pre-Montessori activities (which encourage individual concentration and autonomy in our child) as well as the fact that music is almost always playing. We greatly value the importance they give to outside play everyday, especially because the daycare is surrounded by nature.

If you look for a place that gives you confidence to leave your child, this is the place.

International Playgroup is a wonderful place for children in all aspects, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. My daughters first childcare experience was with International Playgroup. She started at 18 months, transitioned easily, and is still loving it at age 2. Many days she doesnt want to leave. Zo and her assistants are very loving and nurturing of each childs unique personality and culture. They foster positive relationships between all the children. My daughter is very fond of all her friends there, and she loves reciting each one by name. The children are always actively engaged with something whether it be puzzles, imaginative play, building, dancing, etc. Zo has a wide variety of toys and materials to stimulate their creativity. My daughters vocabulary has developed significantly during her time with Zo. She knows how to say the days of the week, the alphabet, the numbers up to twenty, and many other songs and rhymes. Every week she comes home proudly showing off her art projects. Zo values outdoor play and makes sure the children go outside whenever possible. Theres a nice playground with lots of nature to observe. The staff is very professional and experienced. They clearly have the childrens best interests at heart. In addition to the excellent environment, we also decided to send our daughter to International Playgroup because of the cost. The fees are very reasonable for Rockville/North Bethesda and the quality of care. I only have one daughter, so I dont have other experiences to compare this to, but we first found International Playgroup because three different moms from my neighborhood highly recommended it. One said it was the best care that her children had received.

Our almost 3-year-old is a current student at the International Playgroup. We are "return costumers" because our older child also attended this daycare a few years ago. When our older one was little, we did some serious homework about the daycares in the area. We ended up choosing International Playgroup because it's so well organized and it's run by good people. We love the Montessori philosophy Zo practices. It has helped building some great characters in our children. We are truly thankful for Zo and her stuff for making this place feel like a second home for our happy children.

International Playgroup offers extraordinary childcare. Zoreh and her staff are very loving and caring, it's a familiar place where kids learn, socialize and thrive through lot's of different educational and physical activities - hugs and kisses included. The daycare offers a wonderful backyard where children can play and explore nature while discovering squirrels and deer in the neighborhood. Zoreh and her staff don't mind any effort to spend some fun outdoor time in summer and in winter. Opening hours and prices are very reasonable, Zoreh is flexible and willing to makes things possible whenever they are possible. At the end of each week we get all artworks our son has made and we love watching the pictures an video clips Zoreh sends. We are very happy and couldn't wish for a better place and second family for our son.

I spent a lot of time researching and visiting daycare's in the area and never got the same warm, loving, "family" feeling that I got from International Playgroup. The first day we came to visit, all the kids were smiling and playing and were so content. My son felt the positive energy and jumped right in. That's when I knew it was the right fit. Zoreh and her staff are warm, energetic, and respectful of each child's own individual personality. I haven't had one day where I picked up my son that he didn't have a happy twinkle in his eye. As a mother that is all you can wish for!

Our 2-year-old is a current student at International Playgroup. We really love this daycare center and consider ourselves lucky finding this facility. Zo is very experienced, caring and patient, staff there are fun-loving and attention-to-detail. The daycare often sends the video clips of children at play during the day to patents and we really enjoyed watching them. Our son loves the daycare so much and many times he didn't want to leave when we went to pick him up.
